The types of rock crushing machine you choose depends on the types of rocks you need to crush. Sandstone, gravel, granite, and limestone are some of the most common aggregates that are widely used in the construction industry. Although there are different styles of rock crushers are available in the market, compression-style jaw and cone crushers are the most common yet useful crushers that can fit into various stations in a crushing circuit.
Rock Crushing Machine:
But still, it depends on several factors, including the size, variety, and hardness of the rock that you need to crush. There are four basic types of crushers available in the market.
Jaw crushers:
In terms of compression crushing, this type of best jaw crushers is designed to be more of a blunt instrument than a cone crusher. This is the main reason why jaw crushers are widely used in the primary rock crushing stage. You can easily find out jaw crushers for sale that can be used in the first crushing circuit stage. Moreover, these crushers are also called rock breakers because this type of machine is used to break large size and solid rocks and other materials into small and desired size.

Furthermore, these machines are designed to perform well with different types of materials, and they can’t display as much deterioration as impact-style rock crushers. Plus, this machine is able to produce minimal fine materials and dust, but still, the product produced from this type of crusher requires secondary crushing.
Gyratory crushers:
This type of crusher is equipped with a conical head and a concave surface. And this machine uses the compression method to break the material, and this process is known as an eccentric movement. And just like the jaw crushers, this type of crusher is also used in the primary crushing circuit stage. But sometimes, this crusher is also utilised in the secondary crushing circuit stage.
Cone crushers:
Just like the above two crushers, this crusher also works by the compression method. In this way, this machine is able to reduce the size of materials by squeezing them until they break apart.
Impact crushers:
This type of crusher includes VSIs and HSIs. The VSIs are the vertical shaft impactors, and HSIs are the horizontal shaft impactors. Both these are used with less abrasive rock types. This type of rock crushing machine breaks apart the material with the help of impacting forces of certain wear parts.
